Ermenegildo also found happiness in the routines and pleasures that made life feel full. He owned goats and lambs, and he took pride in caring for them with the same patience and attentiveness that characterized so much of his life. He loved to go to the casino with his wife, and they were always big winners—an enduring detail that family and friends will remember with a smile, as a reflection of the fun they found together.
