Esther Marie Whitney

We deeply mourn the passing of Esther Marie Whitney, wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. She passed away on February 23rd, 2024, suddenly due to a decline in her health. She was 54 years old. Her loss was unexpected, and her family is saddened profoundly.

Esther was born on March 13th, 1969 to Daniel and Maria Theresa Alderete. She was one of three children. Her hometown was Phoenix, Arizona, where she attended college, met her husband, chased her goals, and raised her three daughters. (Deeana, Kelli, and Lyla) Through these daughters, she became a grandmother twice over to Elias and Charlotte. She very much loved her pets, especially her chihuahua, Brinco. She shared many happy memories with her family, and embodied the spirit of playfulness, spontaneity, and love. Her happiness, and radiant smile was known to light up whichever room she entered. She had a fierce imagination, and a vibrant laugh. She loved writing, brushing up on history and could often be found curled up with her latest favorite book.

Though she had her share of struggles, her family remembers her with love, and her daughters hold her “Life Lessons” and stories in their hearts. Her departure from our world comes as a great shock and a deep wound, felt strongly by her family and friends. She is preceded in passing by her brother and mother. She is survived by her daughters, father and sister, Mary Elizabeth. Her family appreciates your support and welcomes her loved ones to share in her memorial services held at 10am at Funeraria Del Angel Greer-Wilson Chapel on March 23rd. We ask the lord to guide her soul to peace.
