Evelyn Louise Theobald, 93 stopped making new memories as of November 19, 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona. Daughter of Herman and Ottie (King) Traylor, the sixth of seven children, she was born in Phoenix, Arizona. Evelyn is predeceased by her parents; sisters Inez, Velma, and Ozelle; brothers Manly, and Vernon. She is survived by her brother H.T Traylor and brother-in-law Norm Harrison, her sons John (Donna), Tom (Wilda), and Joe (Connie); grandchildren Gretchen, Steven, Kathryn (Kenny) McAllister, Diana, Nathaniel, Jane, Laura, Jed (Samantha), and Daniel; great-grandson Calvin McAllister; and many nieces and nephews.
She graduated from Phoenix Union High School, has an associate degree from Phoenix College, her B.A. from Grand Canyon College, and an MBA from Arizona State University.
Evelyn was active in Toastmistress International, rising through the ranks to international president. She was a founding member of the Arizona State Association of Parliamentarians, and a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians.
She worked for many years for Phoenix Title & Trust (Transamerica Title) and served as the Director of Personnel at the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird, now part of ASU) until her retirement.
Evelyn has been a member of Phoenix First UCC Congregational Church (Church of the White Spire), 1407 N 2nd St, Phoenix, AZ 85004 since 1951, where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11am.
