Faith was born March 28, 1940 in Muskegon, Michigan to parents Herbert William Mielke and Louise Emily (Bauer) Mielke of Wisconsin. Her family later moved to the Benton Harbor/St. Joseph area where her father was involved in mission work.
Faith loved to read. It was no surprise that she ended up with a Master of Arts degree, and became an English teacher/librarian. A job offer from Phoenix Christian High School drew her to Arizona. She ended up teaching at PCHS for 24 years, and 4 years at Scottsdale Christian Academy.
She loved to read the Bible and she loved the Lord. She also loved life with her husband, Dr. Loye V. Crenshaw. An ice cream parlor first date led to marriage in 1981. They began each day together with a lengthy time of Bible study and prayer and were amazed at God’s goodness. They enjoyed life, travel and music.
Faith is preceded in death by her husband (married for 33 years), her parents, and three sisters, Grace Delight Holifield, Evelyn Franklin and Margaret Mielke. She is survived by a stepson, Daniel Crenshaw and wife Judy of Siloam Springs, AR, two grandchildren, Elisa Winn and husband Andy of Durham, North Carolina, and Jon Crenshaw and wife Nikki of Rogers, AR, and six great-grandchildren: Jackson Winn, Micah Winn, Aubrey Winn, Braden Winn, Lexi Crenshaw, Lucas Crenshaw, and three nieces: Sheila Burgoyne, Angela Vallejo, and Joyce Busse.
A Memorial service is being planned in Arkansas.
