Florentina Steliana Simutiu

Florentina Steliana Simutiu, a devoted and kind-hearted individual, passed away on November 11, 2025, at the age of 50. Born on December 28, 1974, in București, Romania to Florian and Elena (Radu) Matei.

Florentina graduated from Liceul Crestin in Oradea, Romania, and went on to receive an Associate Degree in Nursing from Scoala Sanitara in Oradea, Romania. Her thoughtful and caring nature was evident in her professional life, where she dedicated herself to helping others.

On November 10, 2007, she married Eugen Simutiu and together they raised a family.

Florentina is survived by her husband Eugene; son Yanis; daughter Sabrina ; sister Mariana Matei; brother Daniel Matei; twin brother Chris Matei; parents Elena and Florian Matei and numerous extend family and friends.

A funeral service will be held from 6pm on Friday November 21, 2025 at New Life Romanian Church, located at 4902 W Tierra Buena Ln, Glendale. The committal service will be held at 11am on Saturday November 22, 2025 at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, Arizona,

Florentina Steliana Simutiu will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of compassion and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her life.
