Floyd Sterling Ford, 94 of Tempe, passed away on May 21st, 2016. Floyd graduated from North High School before enlisting in the Navy during WWII and was a Purple Heart recipient. Floyd was a City of Phoenix employee for 30 years, retiring as the Sanitation Department Supervisor. He was married to the love of his life Patricia for 61 years before her passing in 2007. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by son Douglas, grandchildren Jason (Michelle) Ford, Justin (Lisa) Ford, Janna (Jason) Woolf , Austin Ford and great grandchildren Jason Jr., Mia, Keira and Paige. Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday June 3rd at Greenwood Cemetery, 719 N. 27th Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85009.
