

Frances Cordovana, 82, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025 with her family at her bedside. Frances had a dynamic personality, a love of hats and shopping, a gift for cooking and baking, and a generous heart. She was loved by everyone who knew her.
Frances was born on December 23, 1942 in Sperlinga, Sicily. She moved to the United States at the age of 12 and returned to Sicily in 1964 to marry her husband of 38 years, Lou Cordovana, who preceded her in death in 2002. The young couple returned to the United States shortly thereafter to start their life together. Frances valued everything that the United States afforded her while embracing everything Italian.
Frances was a cosmetologist for many years and created many great friendships with her clients. Frances and Lou successfully operated several Barber Shops and Salons over the years. However, her greatest joy came in taking care of her family and being the best “Nanny” to her 5 grandkids. She received great joy in making delicious family dinners which led to unforgettable family time and wonderful dinner conversation not only for family but all of her friends as well. Frances also enjoyed traveling and discovering new places, especially cruises with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Frances is survived by two sons, Anthony (Rosemary) and Joseph (Melissa), five grandchildren, Joey, Maggie, Steven, Mitchell, and Caitlin. Frances is also survived by a sister and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held in Frances' honor on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10:00 AM at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ.
