Gamaliel "Nito" Castillo, 86 of Phoenix, passed away on February 8, 2011. Nito was a Minister of Companreismo Missionero Biblico since 1979. Just a few days prior to his passing, he and his wife Alice celebrated 68 years of marriage. He was born in Phoenix on December 27, 1924 and lived his entire life as a Phoenician in the Barrio of "Cuatro Milpas."
His parents, Felix and Carmen owned an in-home bakery. They and his siblings, Alex, Eva, Sam and Elia preceded him in death. Nito is survived by his wife, Alice and his three children, Robert, Dalia and David. He served in the US Army, and from 1948 to 1987, he was a proud and loyal member of the Iron Worker's Local 75.
