Genevia Brown

Genevia (Genny) Brown passed away at 8:30am, May 4, 2015 in her home, under Hospice care, at the age of 96 (just short of her goal to live to the age of 100). Thank you and love from Genny to all who knew and loved her; God Bless you all. She was preceded to Heaven by her husband, Audie; her eight month old son Russell; her mother Ruth (Granny) Anderson; sister Jewell; brother Bob and niece Bobbie Carol Byerly. Genny was born January 11, 1919 in Clonnel, Kansas. She moved to Texas as a child and lived in several towns including Crowell and Pecos. In 1964, she moved to Phoenix with her adopted family; The Myers (Don, Donna and Glenn). Her friends, church family and those at Tanner Terrace, where she lived for the past 14 years, will miss her dearly. Services will be held 1:00pm, Thursday, May 21, 2015 in the Chapel at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, 85009 followed by Interment at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery.
