I also remember once while driving grandpa to an oncologist doctor, that he told me to always keep a 10-car length of space between myself and those in front of me...then at his appointment, when I was pushing him in his wheel chair, he told me to slow down, and as we neared the assistant (holding open the door), he tells her "She DRIVES like this, you know!" Oh my word, I was blushing... And I wasn't really going that fast with him... Lol

I remember going out to dinner at the Red Lobster (that is now the China Buffet) on 35th Av and Dunlap Av, grandpa was at the head of the table, and I was cracking open crab legs, and part of the meat flew from where  I was sitting, and hit grandpa directly in his forehead! For a moment, everyone at at the table (maybe 7-8 of us) went silent and looked down at grandpa, he then looked at me, and grabbed his napkin to wipe the meat off of his head...it was hilarious to me and a few others, but I don't remember him smiling from this... though I believe he may have found some humor in it... :)

Tom was one of my favorite customers at Fast Eddies Diner.He was so kind to all of us.Have missed him since the day he left and still do.When im down I  pick up his seat at the counter and see his name on the bottom of it and I feel like he still here with us.kathie

Grandpa, you were everything to me...my grandpa AND my dad... I love you SO much and think of you every day! Although you weren't able to make it down the isle with me, I will still have you so close to my heart... I am very much looking forward to seeing you again up in heaven... :')

I remember another time, when a bunch of us went out to dinner at Garcia's Mexican Food Restaurant, and when the check came, grandpa reached for it, but Uncle Wayne snagged it first, and jumped from the table and proceeded to be chased around the table by grandpa; the two of them bickering about who was going to get the tab that night. Ah, fun times...

I remember story times with grandma, and one night, I remember playing under a bed sheet, grandpa came in and I could hear his soft voice, and then I saw the shadow of his hand descending over my head (I new he was going to try and surprise me), and I exploded with giggles! Tee Hee!
I miss him so very much!

I remember having an insulin reaction once, and I have segmented memories of him sitting on my bed through this, when I was seizing, trying to feed me jelly beans to help... I was  told later that I was spitting out all of the green ones. I remember that I don't like lime flavored candy... :)

I remember growing up with grandpa.... going on fishing trips with him... Once I remember going up to Lake Powell with Aunt Diane, Uncle Charlie, grandma, grandpa and mom and Cousin Scott...and grandpa, Charlie and I went out on a power boat to do some fishing, as he was showing me how it was done, and I was at the back of the boat while grandpa and Charlie were at the front of the boat. I had gotten a bite, but the fish got away-I was so excited I'd almost got one! Then, I actually DID catch one, and pulled it out of the water, to show grandpa-this time I was STOKED! I think grandpa was a little bugged that he wasn't catching anything, so he moved me to the front of the boat to switch places with him, and he and Charlie moved to the back. I thought this was funny, because I didn't catch anymore fish... Haha.

It started in the mid 40's, Tom and Jerry, inseperable buddies.  Two tall,gangly kids in high school, wearing engineer boots with mule shoes on the heels that made sparks as we took a corner on our Cushman scooters.  Fell off a lot, tore many hip pockets off.  Rode the scooters on a camping trip to the Superstition Mts.  Stopped at Tom's house after school for three, four, or five apricot jam sandwiches and then went home for supper.  Lots of double dates and good times.  Truly, a "best friend".

What a great neighbor and friend you were Tom!  Joe and I are really going to miss talking to you about our computers...you always had the answers.  We'll miss dinner out with you and Virginia, too.  Would appreciate if you could look over our shoulders once in a while and keep us on track!  We are sending thoughts and prayers to Virginia and the Clow family.  God's peace be with you.

I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of my long ago friend from Emerson School, 7th & 8th grades. I saw Tom a year or two ago in a restaurant and had a nice visit. Some years ago as a Captain on Phoenix Fire Dept I went on a first aid call to Tom's home for a medical problem. Met his wife at that time. If you wish further contact, my phone # is 602-810-0341.

...I wasn't too sure what to write in the guestbook (except that I will miss you terribly, and I will miss going to coffee with you in the mornings at Fast Eddie's (aka Three Brothers)...and all the times I called you for computer help...and the butterfly kisses I got when I was younger), so I wrote a poem...I haven't written any poems in almost 15 years...

Saying goodbye

I love you grandpa!!!

I didn't know Mr. Clow, but I know Jeri. My condolences going out to Jeri and  the family. Know that I am there in heart, thought and soul. 
The peace that passes all understanding be with you today as you celebrate your loved ones life. God and I send you hugs

As far back as I can remember, Tom was always there to lend a hand. He was the computer guru for our entire family.  He was one of those talented people able to look at any project and with diligence somehow discover all the little things you needed to accomplish to be outstanding. He took up jewelry making and made some very beautiful pieces. From there he moved to woodwork and we all at one time had a piece of that history. You want a conversation, it didn't matter what the subject, he was there for you and could keep the conversation going for some time. In his own way he treated his friends and family like gold, enjoying a morning cup of coffee with his friends at the same restaurant for years; his loyalties never seem to fail. I never heard him raise his voice nor show any emotion other than true friendship and love. I know now that he is free from pain, and that truly is a blessing. I also know he is helping to prepare for our future home as well. We were blessed to have him as a friend, brother, a father and a husband.
