George Benjamin Kent Jr.

(September 8, 1922 – July 15, 2012)

Dr. George Benjamin Kent, Jr., of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on July 15th. He was 89 years old. Dr. Kent was born on September 8, 1922, in Rochester, Minnesota, to Dr. George B. Kent, Sr. and Hazel May Hall. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Elizabeth Kent. Dr. Kent is survived by his brother, Robert Hall Kent; son and daugther-in-law, Geoffrey and Lorraine Kent; daughter Karen Hollingsworth; daughter Lisa Kent; daughter Diane Kent; and son and daughter-in-law, Garrett and Trinette Kent. He is also survived by five granddaughters and five great grandchildren. Dr. Kent was an accomplished physician who proudly served his profession for over thirty years here in the Valley. He was an avid reader, and he enjoyed the beauty of Arizona’s mountains and desert. Most of all, he loved his family. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Hospice of the Valley and Dad’s very special caregivers, Maxine, Robert, and Kathy.
