Born in San Francisco on February 3, 1950, George Hudson Prentice moved around Wyoming, Montana, and Nebraska during his childhood, eventually meeting Julie Kaufman-Prentice, marrying, and settling down in Denver, Colorado and then Phoenix, Arizona for a life filled with work, family, food, travel, and exploration. After an eight-month battle with cancer, he died on March 25, 2024.
George was intensely curious about how things worked, asking questions, drawing connections, and pondering everywhere he went. This curiosity allowed him to build houses, repair vehicles, plant gardens, and fix nearly anything.
His outgoing and friendly nature ensured he made friends wherever he lived or traveled. George was quick to help and check in on neighbors and up for any adventure.
A spouse, father, grandfather, and friend, George will be dearly missed by us all. If you would like to make a donation in George’s honor, Julie asks that you select the charity of your choice.
