

Born in El Derado, Oklahoma to the late Edward and Wanda (Holloway) Robnett. After moving to Tulare, CA he played football for Tulare high school. He then returned to Oklahoma before entering the Army to serve in the Korean War. He is a life time member of the Altus, OK Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Returning from the war he joined his family in Phoenix where they had moved to. He met the love of his life Helen Durham in Phoenix. They married on June 18, 1955. He was a hard worker and provided well for his family. He went to work for Allied Signal (Honeywell) from which he retired after 34 years of service as a truck driver.He is survived by his wife Helen of 62 years, one son David (Doreen) of Phoenix, granddaughters Bethany Robnett (Leonard Glower) and Lindsey Hamby (Jeffrey), three great-granddaughters and one great-grandson. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Wood (William) of Vinita, OK and many nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by a son Robert Robnett in 2009, his sisters Beatrice Thomason, Joyce Marks, Brothers James Robnett and Keith Robnett.Gerald enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the old western shows, talking about driving for Gene Autry, his block watch days, camping, hunting and fishing.Services will be held at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ. Visiting hours are Friday, May 4th, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a graveside service on Saturday, May 5th, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
