

Gerald Van Landingham was born in Tolleson, AZ, October 23rd, 1926. He went peacefully to be with the Lord in the early morning of April 9th, 2010, at the age of 83. Gerald attended school in Tolleson and served in the Navy in World War II. He was a State of Arizona Livestock Officer for thirty-two years, the last ten years as Chief Officer. He was preceded in death by parents Guy and Rubie Van Landingham, three sisters and three brothers, and is survived by siblings Guy (Marian) Van Landingham, Virginia Van Landingham, and Winnifred DeMund. Gerald is also survived by his wife Juanita, daughters Carrol Dockery (Lattie), and Judy French, son Robert (Melissa), and stepchildren, Ralph (Darla), Charles (Nita), and Richard Pendergast. Also surviving are three grandchildren Scott (Toni) Drumwright, Matthew French, and Sheri (Brian) Burleson, nine step-grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren. Gerald will also be missed by numerous nephews, nieces, and many friends. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice of the Valley is requested. Visitation will be held Monday, April 12, 2010 from 10:00 to 12:00 at Greenwood Memory Lawn Serenity Chapel followed by a Graveside service at Greenwood Memoey Lawn Cemetery, 719 N 27th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85009.
