Gerardo Acosta passed away peacefully at home on December 20, 2025, surrounded by love. Born in El Paso, Texas, Gerardo spent his early years there before moving to Phoenix, Arizona, where he built a life, raised his children, and created lasting memories with family and friends.
Gerardo was a devoted father and a loving life partner to Rocio Lopez. He was known for his warm spirit, easy laugh, and his ability to make those around him feel at home. He had a deep love for music, enjoyed sports—especially cheering on the Dallas Cowboys—and found joy in nature and in simply having a good time with the people he cared about.
Professionally, Gerardo worked in finance, where he was respected for his dedication and work ethic. Ever curious and driven, he later developed a strong interest in the trucking industry, embracing new challenges with the same determination he brought to all aspects of his life.
Above all, Gerardo will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of life, and the deep bonds he formed with those around him. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St Gregory Catholic Parish, located at 3424 N 18th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona, 85015. The service will be officiated by Father Chauncey Winkler and is scheduled for December 31, 2025, at 2:30 pm.
A Visitation will take place at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W Bethany Home Road, Phoenix, Arizona, 85013, on December 31, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
