Gil Syverson of Avondale passed away on July 10th at the age of 85. He was born in Tucson, Arizona and moved to Avondale at an early age. His family owned and operated Avondale Dry Cleaners on Western Avenue from the 1960’s through the early 1980’s.
Gil attended the University of Maryland and also proudly served his country with the United States Air Force before receiving his Honorable Discharge. He worked hard before retiring after a long career with Arizona Public Service security at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station.
Gil was preceded in death by his loving Wife, Angie (Moreno) Syverson. He is survived by his Son, Lance Syverson (Patti) and daughter, Gina Sandoval (Javier). He was also Papa to 6 Grandchildren: Elijah (Burgundi), Kayla, Gabriella, Erica, Neva, and Emma; and 1 Great Granddaughter: Magnolia.
