

In Loving memory of Glen William Beam, a resident of Phoenix went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2011. Glen was born in Johnstown, PA on February 24, 1932. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Stanley Beam and his brother Ted Beam. He is survived by his wife Leora Beam of 43 years; brother James (Dorothy) Beam, sister-in-laws Grace Beam, Laura Lemons, Darlene Peterson, Babe Hill; brother-in-laws Buster and Bud Welker. He was loved dearly by his friends and family, including many nieces and nephews. Glen worked for Reynolds Metal Co. for 22 years as a tool and die machinist and then worked for Phoenix Union High School System as a machinist for 20 years. Throughout Glen's life he enjoyed automobiles, from restoring his Ford Falcons to his drag racing days with the boys from Don Sanderson Ford. He will be remembered for his perseverance, his wonderful sense of humor and his giving heart. He will be missed dearly. Visitation will be Friday, February 25, 2011 from 6-8 PM and a funeral service Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 1:00 PM at A. L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary 710 W. Bethany Home Rd. Interment to follow at Paradise Memorial Gardens in Scottsdale. In lieu of flowers contributions to Saint Jude Children's Hospital would be appreciated. Arrangements under the direction of A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Bethany Chapel, Phoenix, AZ.
