

Glendene Louise Burton, age 85, passed away on June 7, 2016 in Phoenix, Arizona. Glen was born in Wayne County Hospital on July 17, 1930 to Glenn William and Marjorie E Burton. She graduated from River Rouge High School in 1948 and graduated from the University of Michigan in 1952. Glen was a people person and was very out going. She liked being around family and friends. Glen loved her sports, both Professional and Collegic. Her favorite involved Tennis and Golf with Phil Mickelson being her favorite player. She loved bowling and was on a team and bowled in leagues with John, Virginia, and her brother, George Crosbie, who were like a second family to her. They played all the time and won several trophies. Glen was a Registered Nurse working at Phoenix, General, John C. Lincoln Medical Centers and worked for a Pediatrician, Dr. Paul A. Whipmore for 45 years until she retired in 1965 having spent 17 years at John C Lincoln. Glendene's family consisted of her father Glenn William Burton her mother Marjorie E. Burton, sisters Martha M. Beach, Catherine F. Thurlow, Dorothy J. Viecili, brothers Thomas G. Burton, and Billi A. Burton. We will be gathering from 6-8pm Thursday, May 5, 2016 with a Memorial Service starting at 7pm at A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuary 710 W Bethany Home Road Phoenix, Arizona 85013.
