Gracie Margaret Tucker

Grace M. Tucker, 82, of Phoenix, passed away on Sept 3, 2013. She was born on Mar. 9, 1931, in Palo Verde, AZ, to John and Bessie Karkula. She was the 9th of ten children. With this loving family, she grew up in Chandler, AZ. She attended the Goodyear Grammar and Chandler High Schools. She was happily married to Atlee Tucker for 57 years. They raised their family in South Phoenix, where she was the owner of South Central Beauty Salon. Grace will always be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. Her generosity, gentle spirit, and fun loving sense of humor will continue to be a model for all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband Atlee, son Robert, brothers Harold and Richard, sisters Melva, Eva, and Helen. She is survived by sons; Mark and Atlee "Allen" Jr. (Carmen), brothers Martin and Ernie, sisters Ana and Delia (Lew), grandchildren David (Noelle), Kathleen (Toby), Jeffery (Donna), Jennifer (Tony), Cassie, Mark, Matthew and Christopher, and 10 great grandchildren. Memorial services will start at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at A. L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W. Bethany Home Road, Phoenix. Interment will follow at Resthaven 4310 E. Southern Ave., Phoenix.
