Hajime Sugiyama passed away peacefully on October 8, 2018 at the age of 93. He was born in Watsonville, California on July 1, 1925 but only stayed there a few years before he started his eventful life as a child and young adult. In 1942, he was place in an internment camp in California during the war, with his parents and siblings. After WWII, his life centered around running the family business and caring for his wife, Kikue, and two children, Leland and Karen. Jim was a devoted husband and a great role model as a father. His family will always remember him for his love of sports, plaid shirts and bologna sandwiches.
Viewing will be held 10/28/18 from 3pm - 5pm in the Serenity Chapel at Greenwood Memory Lawn. Funeral Services will be the next day, 10/29/2018, 10:00AM, at the same location.
