Harriet Z Sioles

Harriet Z Sioles, age 96, of Paradise Valley, Arizona passed away on May 11th, 2020 to join her predeceased beloved husband of 55 years, Milton H Sioles, and devoted youngest son, Dean Sioles, in the loving arms of God.

Harriet was born in Stamford, Connecticut. She met her future husband Milton at a sweet 16 party, and they became sweethearts for life. They were married in 1946 in Stamford, Connecticut and started their family. In 1954, the family moved to Los Angeles to begin the next chapter of their lives to start a business and raise their family. Arizona became home in 1979 when new business opportunities were created for the entire family.

Harriet will be remembered for her elegance and grace, keen intellect, witty humor, honesty and devotion to her family and friends. She was an avid reader and gifted pianist blessed with perfect pitch. Harriet and Milton were able to travel the world together for forty years, but always loved coming home to the USA. Harriet had a strong faith and always believed in philanthropy.

She was an avid supporter of The University of Arizona Cancer Center, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Mayo Clinic, and the Greek Orthodox Church community. Most importantly, she was a loving wife and mother and a wonderful aunt. She was also yiayia/grandmother to many who were endeared by her warmth, kindness and affection.

She leaves her son Robert Sioles (Donna) and daughter, Elyse Sioles (Robert Stamm), nieces & nephews, and all the children that called her Yiayia/Grandma Harriet.

Funeral services will be private for the immediate family due to the current limitations. A Memorial/Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the future for the many friends and family that want to honor the loving spirit of Harriet.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Harriet Z. Sioles to Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation at 2929 E. Camelback Rd., Suite 122, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
