Born to Oliver and Minnie Morgan on March 28, 1912 in Madison County, Indiana. She married Elmore Harris in 1932 and raised 4 sons, after which they divorced in 1953.
Hazel is survived by three sons; Francis and Martha June Harris in Indiana, Paul Harris in Glendale, Arizona, & Gene and Marty Harris in Mesa, Arizona, daughter-in-law Nancy in Virginia, eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Her oldest son Arthur died in February of 2010.
She worked at Caylor-Nichol Hospital in Wells County, Indiana until her health faded and she retired in 1964. At that time she moved to Arizona.
Hazel died on August 12, 2013. A viewing will be at Greer Wilson Chapel, 5921 W. Thomas Rd. Phoenix, Arizona from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 15, 2013. Funeral services will be in Portland, Indiana followed by interment at the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery in Pennville, Indiana.
