Helen Lucas Young, 80, of Glendale, died on December 9, 2015. She was born January 26, 1935, in Sharpsville, PA to Andy and Mary (Gaborko) Lucas. Helen worked for Canteen for 26 years, which gave her association with Honeywell, Ping, Charles Schwab and the 2002 Winter Olympics. She traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Lucas; sisters, Barbara Lucas and Patricia Paull; 2 nephews; 3 nieces and numerous great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leslie “Doug” Young; and her brother, Robert “Bobby” Lucas.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 4-8 pm at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85027. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary Chapel.
