

Henry R. Parsons, passed away on his 85th birthday, May 8, 2014, at Sante Rehab facility in North Scottsdale, Arizona with family by his side. Henry was born May 8th, 1929 in Providence, Rhode Island. Henry served his country for 21 years in the United States Army and retired as a Staff Sargent E6. He also did a stint with the United States Navy. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but the major part of his days were spent with his beloved dog, Pooh. Henry also enjoyed playing on the computer, he did not know how to send an e-mail, but could play any of hundreds of games available especially card games. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Margie Parsons of Phoenix, Az. One son, Ronnie Parsons of Phoenix, Az. Five daughters, Linda and husband Mike Pardee of Flagstaff, Az. Colleen Mroczek, Cindy Lewis, Janice Parsons, Diana and husband Mike Munson of Phoenix, Az. One brother Ron Parsons of Long Island, New York. 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Mother and father Alice and William Parsons as well as a daughter, Karen Walker. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 19th 2014 at the Advantage Colonial Chapel located at 4141 N. 19th Ave in Phoenix, Arizona. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. followed by services in the Chapel. We will then have a short graveside service at Greenwood Memory Lawn, located at 2300 W. Van Buren (can also be entered off of 27th Ave.) for a full military send off. Friends and family are then invited to help us celebrate Henrys life at the Parsons home located at 3931 W. Tuckey Lane, Phoenix Arizona. Arrangements under the direction of Advantage Colonial Mortuary, Phoenix, AZ.
