beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away at age 82 on October 29, 2010 in Phoenix. She came to the United States in 1953 to join her husband in Phoenix and together operated a family grocery store for close to three decades. Her love of family, indomitable spirit, kindness, and compassion were her cornerstones as she tirelessly worked at the family business while raising three sons. Upon their retirements, Hong and her husband, John M.Yee, traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada and Asia due to her husband's many community activities. The numerous friendships that were forged and her generosity to many people and charities were a constant reminder of her kind heart. Hong Yow Yee is survived by her husband (John M. Yee); three sons…Dean (Carine), Fred (Ellen), and Paul (Cindy). She loved her six grandchildren: Julianne, Brandon, Nathan, Elizabeth, Aaron, and Allison. She is also survived by two sisters, a brother, and countless nephews and nieces. The family values the special kindness shown by her nephew, James (Ruby) Kwan. Visitation is scheduled for 9am and services at 10am on Saturday, November 6 at the Northwest Chinese Baptist Church at 4243 W. Greenway Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85053. The kindness shown by all her relatives and friends during her final days are gratefully acknowledged and appreciated. Arrangements under the direction of A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Bethany Chapel, Phoenix, AZ.
