Ike, aged 76, passed peacefully at Providence Hospital of Anchorage, Alaska, in the company of his beloved family and friends. Born March 9th, 1949, in Long Beach, California, to George E. Hill Sr. and Marie N. Hill, Ike lived a long, fulfilling life, surrounded by a plethora of loved ones, including his wife, Frances “Fran” M. Hill, whom he adored greatly. Ike and Fran gave life and home to four adoring children- one daughter, and three sons: Lannette M. Meeker, Isaac M. Hill Jr., Brandon L. Hill Sr., and David G. Hrbal Sr. Ike was also survived by two daughters, Aimee and Alexis.
Altogether, their descendents blessed Ike and Fran with many beautiful grandchildren, and, later on, great-grandchildren.
Ike was a dedicated man, hardworking father, and loving uncle and grandfather. From 1968-1974, Ike served in the military during the Vietnam War, and he worked tirelessly until his retirement in February of 2025. Ike found peace in being in the presence of his family and friends, and spending his days doing all that he loved. He deeply enjoyed music, old western films, thunderstorms, the Minnesota Vikings, firearms, assembling computers, and his Faith, of which he spent many years practicing at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
Services will be held in Phoenix, Arizona, at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery on Saturday, November 15th. Visitation will be held from 10 A.M. to noon, followed by a 12:30 P.M. service, and 1 P.M. burial. Pallbearers include sons Isaac, Brandon, and David, as well as grandsons Christopher M. Stotts, Isaac M. Hill III, Joseph M. Hill, Nathaniel J. Meeker, and David G. Hrbal Jr.
