Natividad was born in La Pena, Michoacan, Mexico on September 8, 1937, to Tranquilino Acosta and Angela Jimenez, the oldest of seven children.
Natividad grew up in Michoacan on a farm with his parents and siblings. He attended school and worked alongside his father.
In 1958 Natividad applied for a work permit and came to Phoenix, to work. He started as ranch hand on a farm. His duties were to care for the animals, which was a seven day a week job from sunup to sundown, but he loved what he did. While he worked on the ranch he learned many things about animals, horses specifically, how to care for them, there needs and chores on the ranch. This is where he learned how to be a black smith and “Ferrier”. He later went to school to perfect his trade. He became so proficient that he opened his own business, and taught his trade at night school at local colleges. He kept and worked his business for as long as any family member could remember. In addition to running his own business, Natividad worked at an old amusement park called Legion City (which is no longer there) as a gardener. Later in his years he continued to take care of his flower garden, listen to all kinds of music and watch his favorite programs on TV.
Natividad never married. However, he was an excellent father figure, mentor and provider. Early in his years his sister passed away leaving him with the 6 children to raise: 2 girls and 4 boys. Natividad was a natural giver. He spent most of his time in service of others. No just these children, but he took care of many children in his family.,
Natividad leaves behind his sister’s Josefina, Maria (David), Ava (Simon); nieces and nephews Fastino, Preston, Omar, Edegardo, Jaseris, Laticia, Yadira,m Arturo, Alfredo, Ynucio, Estaban, Stemio (la Changa), Lorenzo, Gerrimo, Santiago, Rosalio, Angela, Maribel; and his very close friends Rigo and Martin and his children.
Natividad was greeted in heaven by his parents; siblings Donato, Preciliana, Carmen and his cousin Jose Francisco Jimenez.
