Jack C. Anderson, 94, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2018. He was born in Chicago, IL on October 16, 1923 to the late Gustave Carl Anderson and Evelyn (Nielsen) Anderson. Jack graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School then furthered his education obtaining an Associate's degree from Santa Monica College. He was a proud WWII Veteran who served as a Bomber Pilot on 36 missions. On December 31, 1955 he married Helen Havens. Jack was an Accounting Supervisor for the U.S. Post Office. His Christian faith was immensely important to him and in retirement he had a passion for tennis and ballroom dancing.
Jack was proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Helen; and his three siblings, Leon, Nancy, and Dan. He is survived by his three children, Kim (Robin) Anderson, Lisa (Don) Saba, and Chris Anderson; three siblings, Howie, Dave, and Carolyn; eight grandchildren; Amy, Erin, Ashley, Summer, Carissa, Danielle, Wyatt, and Stephanie and nine great grandchildren; Tristan, Isabelle, Cameron, Kyle, Jacob, Cailyn, Kaylee, Natalie, and Michael. Funeral service with Military Honors will be at 10:00 am on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Road, Phoenix, AZ 85022 with light refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers contributions in Jack's honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at act.alz.org/donate or to Hospice of the Valley at hov.org.
