Jack "Jackie Paul" McCormick

Jack Paul McCormick, age 84, passed away on December 29, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona. Jack, affectionately referred to as “Jackie Paul” by his mother when he was in trouble, was born on March 15, 1941, in Denton, Texas, to Paul Lee McCormick and Birdie Marie Gentry. Jackie was the third of three children born to Paul and Bertie, the youngest of their three sons.

Jackie grew up in Texas, where he attended school and graduated from high school. At a young age, Jack married Beverly Ann McCormick, known to family and friends as Becky. Together, they raised four children—Barry, Deborah, Josh, and Brandie—until Beverly’s passing.

Later in life, Jack met his last love, Patricia Ann, who brought one more child into their home, Precious, and together they became an immediate and loving family. Jack and Patricia were married at the Justice of the Peace on August 15, 2003, and remained devoted to one another until his passing on December 29, 2025.

Jackie and Patricia were inseparable. They loved spending time together gambling, going to the movies, shooting pool, and dancing. They shared a deep love of travel, especially trips to Laughlin and Las Vegas, enjoying the sights along the way. Some of their happiest moments were spent taking leisurely trips to places like Sedona, the Red Mountains, and the Grand Canyon, simply for the joy of being together.

Jackie loved all holidays, but spring was his favorite time of year. He enjoyed warm weather and always embraced life with a cheerful spirit. Over the course of his life, he was blessed to raise five children, watch nine grandchildren grow (with one on the way at the time of his passing), and see two great-grandchildren flourish.

Jackie will be remembered for his good heart, his warmth, and his love for his family.

A memorial service will be held on January 13, 2026, at Advantage Maryville Funeral and Cremation from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services Maryvale Chapel, located at 6901 West Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85033, on January 13, 2026. The service will take place from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
