James N. Bliss, 89, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away August 1, 2024. Son of the late Frederick and Aldoria (DiFederico) Bliss, he was born in Southbridge, Massachusetts, on January 3, 1935. He was a retired letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service and was a retired Master Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force. He was also a lifelong Mason with the Brigham Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Ludlow, MA. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 45 years, Irene A. (Hitchcock) Bliss, his parents, his sister, Lois “Janie” Dorn, and grandson, Jonathan C. Bliss. He is survived by his children, Thomas J. (wife Kelly) Bliss, Francine I. Bliss Leiser, Russell J. Bliss, and three grandchildren, Eris V. Bliss, Rigel S Leiser, and Arielle L. Leiser. He is also survived by his brothers, Donald Bliss, Frederick (wife Dale) Bliss, William E. (wife Angel) Hitchcock, and his sister, Sarah “Sally” (husband Richard) Bigelow.
