A spirited student, James graduated from Arizona State University in 1970, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. He was known for always being able to “find” that extra centimeter in a measurement others might have missed, or invariably bestowing wisdom and guidance to friends and family in many areas of life. A large portion of James’ later life evolved in developing a penchant for naturopathic approaches to his health for himself and his loved ones. He was an avid reader and often found comfort in the studies of Natural Laws and living in harmony with them throughout his life. He loved spending time on his computer, whether emailing friends and family or just researching the latest news in politics or horticultural practices. James was also known for his love of fishing trips and poker games with family and friends.
James is survived by his wife Roberta; son Kevin (Karen); close sisters Sandra Rickey and Sharon Rector and several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate James’ life will be held at a future date. In honor of James’ background and interests, his family will be establishing the James A. Dailey Memorial Scholarship Fund to support aspiring students in Mathematics. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the scholarship fund can be made, once established.
