Jim was my father figure. He called me “Angel”. He was a character full of stories to tell. Always there when needed. Many of us will miss him more than words can say. So many memories we all have to share.

Scott, I'm so sorry Jim's friends were not told of the service today. It would have been a packed house with laughter and tears and stories to last a long time.
Please know we would have been there to support you had we known.
Please accept my condolences. He was a father to me for years, and I understand the loss.

Grampa Jim always had the best stories. And boy did he have a lot of them. I will always remember how much he lit up the room with his smile and laughter. He always was so willing to help those in need when he could, and made sure that they had a full belly when they left his company. I will miss him dearly.

I met Jim when I was 15 in 1969... he bought my sister (Terri) and I our school clothes for our first day of our freshman year. He was a great friend to our Mother. He was so instrumental in her sobriety. He was a very kind man. I didn’t get to see him when I moved to California. I will always have fond memories. I just remember wishing that he could be my dad but that never happened. I’m sure he will be missed!

Jim was the most honest, caring, giving person I have ever known.
There are too many memories, and wonderful stories from the past 50 years to put in such a small space.
I was supremely blessed to have had his influence in my life.
He will forever be in my heart.
