James Everett Pruitt, 84, of Peoria, passed away on Saturday, 20 March 2021. He was born on 21 June 1936 to the late Everett and Freda (Wheeler) Pruitt in Kansas City, Kansas. He attended Stanley High School graduating class of 1954. On 21 September 1957 he married Ailene Williamson in Turner, Kansas. James worked as a maintenance man for Western Electric / AT&T / Lucent.
He proudly served in the 82nd Airborne and enjoyed shooting, barbecuing, and reading/relaxing in the forest.
James is survived by his two sons, Jeff and Tom; one sister, Billie; five grandchildren Heather, Tyler, Courtney, Lindsay and Ryan; eight great grandchildren; and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ailene.
A private graveside service is being held for immediate family.
