

James L. Widney, 71, passed away peacefully at home, on February 5, 2018. Jim was born in Columbus, OH. Jim loved the open road so he became a truck driver and later he became a Recruiter and an Instructor of training in this same field. He traveled to many places, where he met his wife Carol. Jim and Carol settled in Glendale, AZ, where they raised their family. Later in life, Jim changed in his career, so he became a chemical salesman for five years before retiring.
Outside of his career and his family, Jim enjoyed the outdoors and this was seen in his love of golfing, hunting, and fishing. He was passionate about Jesus and this was seen in his Evangelism and participation in Cursillo, prison ministry, and church. Jim’s true passion was Jesus and his family, especially his granddaughters.
Jim is survived by his wife, Carol; his sons(spouses): Daniel(Kelli) and James(Shannon) Widney; and granddaughters: Madison, Kate, and Emery. He is also survived by his siblings: Robert(Sue) Widney, Janet Thomson, and Kathy Carter. He was proceeded in death by his parents James and Martha Widney.
