Jane Ward Peterson

Jane was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and lived there for 43 years. She then moved to Arizona in 1977 where she resided until her death. She was trained in bookkeeping and the early stages of computer billing and receiving. She then spent years as a Billing Clerk and tax preparer.

Jane was an avid reader and loved to play cards. She experienced travel and stayed active with golfing in her younger years. She thoroughly enjoyed connecting with others and spending time in social settings such as a member of the Red Hat Society. She most loved visits from her grandchildren and felt extremely blessed to meet her great-grandchildren. She was best known for her generous spirit, love of the Lord, and her humor. She is survived by her daughter Wendy Kimball, granddaughter Jamie PK and her husband Shilo Harris, and their children Devin and Shawndy Buchhorn; grandson Kelly Kimball and wife Marit Kimball and their children Ari and Clara, Son Richard Riviere and spouse Tami Riviere, granddaughter Megan Cieslak and husband Steve Cieslak, and their children Aiden and Claire, and grandson Benjamin Riviere and Charlotte Riviere.

Jane was preceded in death by her first husband Bob Riviere of 13 years, her second husband Al Halgren of 8 years, her daughter Jill Cotrell and Son-in-law Jeff Cotrell and her third beloved husband Bert Peterson of 11 years.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 1:00pm at Orangewood Community Church, 3710 W Orangewood Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85051, with a small reception to follow.

In lieu of giving flowers, the family asks that instead donations be made to Orangewood Community Church.
