Jeanne Eleanor Crabb went home to be with the Lord Saturday, July 31st in Phoenix, Arizona surrounded by close family. Jeanne was born in Plainwell, Michigan July 22, 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Wava Harlan. She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Douglas Crabb; her four children: Becky Hooper, Timothy Crabb, Sarah Shepherd, and Titus Crabb; ten grandchildren: Ryan, Ian, Kristy, David, Daniel, Melissa, Zachary, Janelle, Joshua, and Kiersty; and seventeen great grand-children all described as “precious gifts from our Lord!! by Jeanne.
Jeanne graduated from Hickory Corners High School in Michigan in 1956 and completed a Registered Nursing program at West Suburban Hospital School for Nurses and the Wheaton Program in Oak Park, Illinois in 1959. She served the Lord throughout her life in Alaska, Montana, New Mexico, California, and Arizona.
Jeanne was a servant of all, teaching Sunday school and Vacation Bible Schools, cooking at summer Bible camps, grading Bible correspondence courses for students in the prison system, and opening her home to countless family members, friends, and strangers in need. She valued Joy as a virtue and was well known for her beautiful smile and willingness to stop and visit with anyone, anytime… especially in Costco.
Jeanne’s life verse was Psalm 16:11. “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
