

Growing up, Jeff’s family moved around due to his father’s job. From Pensacola, FL, they moved to Atlanta, GA where Jeff went to Atlanta Braves games and watched Hank Aaron hit home runs. The family then moved to Sierra Vista, AZ, where Jeff attended Buena Vista High School. He joined the U.S. Air Force in August of 1979, having served 4 years. It was during this time that Jeff met his wife, Rebecca Hoffman, and they were married on October 17, 1980. Together they had 2 children while he served. He was Honorably Discharged in 1982. He came back to Sierra Vista and worked for Cochise County as a computer operator/programmer for about 10 years. His family later moved to Phoenix where he was employed by Arizona State Retirement as a computer programmer until 1992. He then worked for Arizona Corporation Commission until he retired in 2014. While at the Corporation Commission he was awarded the Arizona State Employee of the Year in 2000.
Jeff coached his daughters’ soccer and Little League teams for a number of years. He also coached his grandson’s Little League Teams.
He is preceded in death by his parents Philip and Helen McNany, his brother Rick Gantly and his Uncle Jim. He is survived by his wife Rebecca”Becky” Hoffman McNany, his daughters Amanda (Mac) Trice and Michelle Davis and his grandchildren Joshua Parpart, Haley Trice and Danielle Davis. Also surviving him are his sisters Diana (Paul) Conco and Linda Gantly. He also has many aunts and uncles that have survived him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am on December 28, 2026, at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W Bethany Home Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85013.
