Jesse W. Detrick, 77 of Glendale AZ passed away July 2, 2015. Born in Indianapolis, IN, the youngest of 6, the family moved to AZ and then upstate NY. As a teenager, Jesse and his mother moved back to Arizona and the Valley of the Sun has been his home ever since. He started a distinguished career with The Arizona Republic & Phoenix Gazette elevating from carrier to Circulation Zone Manager. After retiring from the newspaper, Jesse went to work at Brown & Brown Chevrolet for several years. He married Marlene Louise Bruns in 1964 and they enjoyed a happy union, travelling the world and making friends around the globe. He is survived by his son Phillip, daughter Elizabeth and her husband Steven Jeffery and grandsons Maxwell and Luke and countless friends. Jesse’s visitation was Monday July 6th. A service will be held at 9am Wednesday July 8th at Phoenix Memorial Park 200 W Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ 85015 Jesse will be laid to rest what would have been his and Marlene’s 51st wedding anniversary.
