Jimmie Ray Ward was born September 16, 1947 in Tucson, Arizona to Eddie and Winnie Ward. Jimmie is the 11th of 15 Children and was affectionately known as “Jimbo” or “Jimmie Ray” to those who knew him.
After graduating from High School he entered into the United States Navy during the Vietnam War where he served as a Military Officer for a duration of 4 years.
Jimmies professional career began 1973 in North Hollywood where he worked for Technicolor Motion Pictures. He then returned to Tucson, AZ where he worked for KOLD -TV as a Production Assistant. In 1979 Jimmie moved to Phoenix, AZ and began his career with KOOL-TV / KSAZ -TV Fox Channel 10 for 32 years where he retired in May of 2010 as Associate Television Director.
Jimmie is survived by his wife Deborah, daughters Marnique, Tysa & ShaLonda (Nick) Allen. Sons; Torrance, Darnell, Jeff Brothers; Alvin ( Johnetta) Ward , Curtis ( Mary) Ward, Sisters; Deloris, Doris (Charles) Jean, Helen, Ella Mae (Jerome), Diane & Velma Ward. 15 Grand Children and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Eddie and Winnie Ward, Sister Eileen and Brothers Eddie , Clarence and Willie.
