

Jo Ann June Kelly, 79, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed peacefully on Friday November 15, 2013. She was born to Ethel and Jeff Hinze in Albion, Nebraska on June 11, 1934. Growing up in rural Nebraska on the family farm she moved to Iowa to attend high school in Denison. She then enrolled and graduated from secretarial school in Omaha where she worked for several years assisting businesses large and small with administration. Married in in 1958 to Harry (Skip) Williams, they had two children Vicki and Mark. Sadly, Skip passed away in 1988. Jo Ann moved to the Phoenix area in the 1980s and served the Arizona Publics Schools for many years driving a school bus for special needs students. She married Frank Kelly in 2001 and began a career as a Marketing Representative for food brokers. Jo Ann loved being active and continued to work nearly full time in the grocery stores until she was 76 making sure the products she represented were properly displayed to consumers. Retirement took her to Sun City West where Frank and Jo Ann shared Friday night dinners with their friends, played cards every afternoon and listened to Country Western CDs. Her senior years were very vibrant and she was full of energy. Her husband always said she never met a stranger because she was a friend to everyone. Jo Ann will surely be missed by all who have had the great opportunity to know her. She is survived by her husband Frank Kelly, sister Ramona of Denison, Iowa, daughter Vicki of Littleton, Colorado, son Mark of Arlington, Nebraska and 4 grandsons. Her family also includes 3 step children and 9 step grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013 from noon to 1:00 p.m. at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 North 27th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85009, with a funeral service immediately following. The graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m.
