We are sharing with you the loss of your dear mother and my first cousin.  Joann and I were very close in our younger days.  She is 1 1/2 older than I but we seemed to connect very well.  She being the youngest in her family and I being the oldest in mine.  We spent weekends together in our teens and I remember staying at the farm while a Barn Dance was being held in their barn on the farm south of Trosky, MN..  Oh what a fun evening.  And then during the summer after the family moved to Graceville I was able to spend a week at her farm home outside of Graceville.  We were still in our teens but Joann knew a lot of people and we spent a lot of time walking the streets in Graceville.  Then one afternoon a guy she knew came by on his fancy Harley Motorcycle...and for me this was something I was never around...so Joann got him to give us rides...her first and me second...I will never forget the ride...95 mph down Hwy 75 till Clinton before we turned around...Wow...I was scared to death while Joann just thought it was a nice summer afternoon ride.  I also remember being with her when we went on a motor boat ride and I'm sure we were doing 70 mph down this small access to the lake...another adventure due to the fact that I was "not allowed" to go any place till after I was 16...Oh for the memories.......shared by Marilyn Flanagan First counsin
