Joe Luis Sapien was born and raised in Phoenix Arizona. He was born September 26, 1963 and passed away after a long fight from illness on March 18, 2026. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories shared with family and friends.
Joe began his working life at a print shop before following in his father’s footsteps to become a mechanic. He took great pride in his work and was always willing to lend a hand, often fixing cars right at home for family, friends, and neighbors. More than that, he loved teaching others; guiding them through repairs, working side by side in the front yard.
Joe was the youngest of six children. He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Frank, Terry, Jesse, Helen, and Benny. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tina and Louis.
Known affectionately as “June” or “June Bug,” Joe had a special way of bringing people together. He loved spending time at home, especially out in the front yard surrounded by family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and good conversation. He enjoyed barbecuing, going fishing, and spending time at the casino. He also helped babysit the kids at Nana’s house, watching movies and playing video games.
