Born on August 23, 1941, to Richard Morrix Morris and Fannie Wallace, John graduated from high school and pursued some college studies before dedicating much of his life to the game he loved.
He was a proud professional Major League Baseball player, having played for five Major League teams during his career.
John married the love of his life, Judith Ellen Klaiber, and together they shared many wonderful years. He was a devoted husband and a loving father to his three children — Katrina Hilligoss, Elizabeth Stiffler, and Jad Morris.
Beyond baseball, John was a man of strong faith and attended Scottsdale Bible Church, where he found joy, purpose, and community.
He will be remembered for his dedication, humility, and the deep love he held for his family, faith, and the sport that shaped his life.
