Josephine Johnnina Monica Torres

Josephine Johnnina Monica Torres of Avondale, AZ, passed away on September 22, 2015 at the age of 33. She is survived by her two sons, Gabriel and Adrian, and their father George Torres, her parents Bernie and Mary Gabaldon, Paternal father John Lucero and spouse Mary, her sister Sophia Hall, brother Estevan Gabaldon and wife Jessica, grandparents Bernardo and Josephine Griego, & Wilfred Lucero, nephews Dante Hall & Marquise Mease, Nieces Kiana Hall & Briana Browder, cousin Cherie Griego, loving friend “sister” Leticia Aranda, and many family and friends. She is preceded in death by Grandparents Walker and Lina Jensen, Mathilda Lucero, and Aunt Cherie Griego. Josephine served in the United State Air force as an Air Traffic Controller stationed at Barksdale AFB Louisiana, Nellis AFB Nevada and served three tours in Iraq. She continued her career as an FAA employee at Mesa Gateway Airport, and Deer Valley Airport. Services will be held at the Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, viewing on Monday Sept. 28th from 5-7pm followed by a rosary. Tuesday the funeral service will be held at the same location from 9-10am, followed by burial at 11 am at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.
