Joyce was born August 25, 1927 in LeMars, IA. The only child to Frieda and Raleigh Bruins she grew up on the farm and went to school in LeMars where she met her husband, Wilbur Arnold Miller who preceded her in death.
Joyce and Wilbur raised their children in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was involved with school activities, cub scouts, Blue Birds Bowling, traveling and cheering on NB “Big Red” football. She had great friends.
They moved to Phoenix, then LaHabra to work and back to Phoenix to retire. She was very active in her church, All Saints Lutheran.
Joyce will be remembered for her love of family, her easy smile and her laugh.
Joyce is survived by her son Gaylan Miller and his wife Debra, her daughter Dawn Garrett and her husband Mark, grandchildren, Scott Miller (Kari), Jenn Quick (Josh), Nathan Miller (Shelby), Jaclyn Kaufman and 12 great grandchildren.
