It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Juan Jose Aquino Valenzuela , who peacefully departed this life on July 24, 2026, after a courageous two-year battle with Hodgkin lymphoma.

Jose was born on June 8, 1946, in Jalisco, Mexico, and was raised in Nayarit, where he developed the strength, resilience, and values that would define his life. In his younger years, Jose was a talented boxer whose determination and discipline carried through every stage of his life. He was also a proud Gallero at heart, a passion he cherished and shared with many throughout the years.

Above all, Jose was an extraordinary man. He was kind, noble, compassionate, and deeply devoted to his family and friends. He had a generous spirit and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jose’s greatest joy was his family. His grandchildren brought an unmistakable light to his eyes, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Their laughter, hugs, and smiles filled his heart, and the love he gave them will remain with them forever.

Jose is proceed in death by his parents Maria De Refugio & Jose Aquino and brothers: Goyo, Fernando, Antonio, Domingo. Jose is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela Aquino; his sons,Juan Jose Aquino jr., Anthony Aquino, Juan Aquino his daughters: Yasmin Aquino, Elvia Sanchez, Angela Hernandez,Tauna Alcon, Sandra Salgado, Norma Lomeli, Christina Aquino,

30 cherished grandchildren; 12 precious great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild and many beloved brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

We’ll Always Remember.

Those who knew Jose will forever remember not only the love he shared, but also the words that made him uniquely him. His voice and his spirit will live on every time we hear one of his favorite sayings:

“Don’t do anything halfway.”

“Nothing is given. If you want it, go get it.”

“Did you feeded the chickens?”

“Mi preciosura.”

“Fuck it!”

“Quién dijo ‘shit’?”

“Ponte zapatos!”

“I love you more.”

These simple words brought laughter, encouragement, and love to our lives. They will forever remind us of the man who said them and the countless memories we were blessed to share with him.

Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in the legacy Jose leaves behind a life lived with honor, kindness, courage, and unconditional love. His memory will continue to inspire all who knew him, and he will forever remain in our hearts.

His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his love was a gift that will remain with us forever.

Until we meet again, you will always be with us in our hearts, our memories, and in the way we choose to live our lives. We love you more than words can express, and you will be deeply missed every day.
