In 1965, Juan married Gloria Rivera, and together they raised two sons, Juan Jr (John) and Anthony, in South Phoenix. A skilled carpenter, woodworker, and jack-of-all-trades, Juan would fix just about anything, permits optional.
Juan had style. He loved getting dressed up, always in Polo, and never without a sharp hat to finish the look. He also appreciated the finer things in life, usually ordering the most expensive item on the menu — crab legs and mariscos were his weakness. Juan had the best smile and never missed a chance to joke around, and every now and then, a trip to the dispensary was just what he needed to keep that easy smile going.
Juan is survived by his wife Gloria, his sons Juan Jr. and Anthony, 3 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren, along with all his nieces and nephews, who will carry on his stories for years to come. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and 4 brothers.
Juan lived life on his own terms, he dressed well, ate well, and left his mark on everyone he met. He will be deeply missed.
