Judiciary “Judi” Huynh, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and daughter, passed away peacefully alongside her family after 12 and ½ year battle with advanced stage breast cancer. She fought tough until the very end.
Judi was born in Vietnam and immigrated to California in 1985 with her family. She worked as a seamstress in the late 80’s and eventually went to barber college at Rosston Hairstyle in San Bernardino, California. She was a self-employed barber for over two decades in 29 Palms, California, and served thousands of customers with fresh, stylish haircuts. Her loyal customers often referred to her as Barber Judi or Mrs. Judi. She retired from her career as a barber in 2018 in order to focus her attention full-time on the 24/7 fight with the terrible disease.
Mrs. Judi will forever be remembered as a loving mother to one son, an awesome grandmother to four grandchildren, and a caring daughter to an elderly mother. In addition to working a time-consuming job as a self-employed barber, she was instrumental in spending time and helped raise all four grandchildren. Family time was the most important downtime for Mrs. Judi, and she preferred that over any type of traveling or vacation. Later on in life she enjoyed playing slots at the casinos with friends and family and is an avid fan of all types of buffets, especially seafood.
Mrs. Judi is survived by her mother Hue Tran, sister Anh K. Banh, son Quyen Pham, and her pride and joy grandchildren Hannah, Bradly, Emily and Oliver. She was preceded in death by her father, Thanh Duc Banh.
A graveside service will be held at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, located at 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ, 85027. The service is scheduled for July 10, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
