Judith Ann Whetsel

Judith Ann Whetsel, 67, of Glendale, AZ passed away the morning of October 30, 2013, surrounded by her devoted family and close friends after a courageous 4 year battle with cancer. She was born on October 4, 1946 in Elmira, New York to Thomas Derwish and Kathryn Stanton. She grew up in Elmira and was a 1964 graduate of Southside High School. She served in the United States Air Force for 2 years. Judith enjoyed yard work, gardening, taking care of her home and her daily phone calls with her sisters. She enjoyed spending time with her close friends, Pattio, Ceec, Gina and Vivian. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, cherishing her time with her grandchildren, Tori, Jake, Kaitlyn and Kamryn. She is survived by her 3 children, Steve Whetsel (Patricia), Kimberly Beall (Erik) and T.J. Whetsel, three sisters, Mary Lou Butts (Michael), Sandra Glidden and Carolyn Goedel, 4 nieces and 3 nephews. A Memorial Service with military honors will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 1:30 P.M.
