Karl was a shining example of a good neighbor, consistently showing kindness and care for those around him. His wife Cindy's baking skills brought us all together during the holidays, and Karl's watchful eye over our properties and pets was a comforting presence. I'm thankful for the time we had with Karl, and my condolences go out to Cindy - may his memory continue to inspire us to look out for one another. Love and prayers always for my neighbors. I met Karl in 1985 when he and Cindy moved to Phoenix. We became very close friends and enjoyed many visits and good times over the years. We shared a love of cars and loved to talk about them, which frequently got us in trouble with our wives! There are so many memories I will keep, and of course, it would have been wonderful to have spent even more time- but I am grateful for the time we had. I will remember his character, a unique blend of quiet, fun-loving, and filled with what I call a traditional mid-western sensibility. He will be missed by many.

Karl and I were friends for over 20 years.  We were both interested in classic cars and trains.  We were both members of the same car clubs over the years.  We made car trips together and attended several trains shows together.  Karl always had a positive attitude, and he will be missed, especially around Super Bowl time.  Our hearts go out to Cindy for the loss of her best friend of almost 40 years.

Karl was a very good friend and neighbor.  He was a nice, down to earth man who was kind and ready with a joke.  He was always willing to lend a helping hand and provide helpful advice.  I have fond memories of our conversations about cars and life.  Karl will remain a part of who we have become.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to Cindy and Karl’s family and friends. Karl was an amazing person. Filled with such kindness and goodness straight from the heart. We have many memories of Karl as we were close neighbors of 35 years! From many culdesac bbq’s, Halloween nights and July 4th spent hanging out. Christmas cookies delivered right to our door! The countless walks to the mailbox and visits together. He was always looking out for everyone who lived in our culdesac. We will miss his presence tremendously! Many hugs and prayers go out to Cindy.  Our condolences to you. Uncle Karl and Aunt Cindy used to send Christmas cards to us (his sister Linda's kids).  I remember for many years there was Karl, Cindy, and a paw print signature representing Casey.  Pretty sure it was Casey.  Up to that point I had only known dogs to be outdoors and certainly incapable of signatures.  My Mom explained that Karl and Cindy wrote for the dog.  I always thought that was pretty cool.  

My Mom has told her children stories of how, when Karl, Linda, and Paul were kids and waiting for the school bus in inclement weather, Karl and Paul would keep Linda in the middle.  They protected her.
